Mr. Roger Wong said the Water Supplies Department and Drainage Services Department will co-organise the inaugural Hong Kong Water Expo in Hong Kong next year, demonstrating international recognition of Hong Kong’s experience as an intelligent water city. These two major events together create a new platform that combines strategic concepts with practical applications, enabling participants to interact directly with solution providers and jointly explore ways to shape a resilient and sustainable future for utilities.

Prof. Kasan said the inaugural Global Utilities Summit in Hong Kong next year will gather key decision-makers, innovators and practitioners from the global water, wastewater and stormwater management utilities sectors. He announced that Hong Kong was chosen as the host for the first Summit because it is one of the most internationally connected cities in the world, with a hub status that can connect utilities experts globally and serve as a gateway to innovation, investment and cooperation in Asia and beyond.

Detailed arrangements for the Hong Kong Water Expo and the Global Utilities Summit will be announced once finalised. Stay tuned.
